Delete your account

You can close your Sorplos account at any time, either from inside the app or by emailing us. Closing your account erases your personal details permanently.

Delete from inside the app

  1. Open Sorplos Insurance and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile, then Security & Privacy.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Delete without the app

Email support@sorplos.com from the address on your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We will confirm your identity and close the account within 30 days.

What is erased

Your name, email, phone number, date of birth, address, gender, BVN and NIN, biometric verification record, saved payment methods, notifications and notification preferences. Your sign-in credentials are destroyed and every active session is revoked immediately.

What is kept, and why

Policy and claims records are kept for six years, because NAICOM requires it of a licensed broker. They are detached from you at the moment of deletion — your identity details are erased from them, so what remains is a policy number and an amount that identifies nobody.

This cannot be undone

There is no restore. Reversing a deletion would mean keeping the identity data that was supposed to be erased, so we do not keep it. You are welcome to sign up again afterwards with the same email address, but it will be a new account with no history.
